Sound Transit and other local transit providers can help you when you are travelling to and from Sea-Tac Airport. Fast, frequent public transit options can take you between the airport and major cities in the area, including Seattle, Tacoma and Bellevue.

Getting to and from Sea-Tac Airport

Central Link light rail serves Sea-Tac Airport; there are 11 stops between the airport and Westlake Station in downtown Seattle. The trip from the airport to downtown Seattle takes 37 minutes.

The airport's light rail station is connected to the fourth floor of the main parking garage at the airport. To get to the main terminal and ticket counters from SeaTac/Airport Station, walk across the covered bridge.

Pay your fare before riding

Purchase a ticket from the Ticket Vending Machine at the station, or use your ORCA card to ride the train.

  • ORCA users, tap your card on the yellow card reader. Be sure to tap off when you leave the train
  • Be ready to show your ticket or ORCA card to the fare inspector on request

Bringing your luggage on Link

Each Link car has a shared bicycle and luggage storage area, which is first come, first served. To find the bicycle and luggage storage area, board at the door marked with a bicycle symbol. If this designated area is full, please try another Link car.

ST Express buses provide fast, convenient service to Tacoma, Bellevue and other major regional destinations.

  • Route 560 serves West Seattle, Burien, SeaTac, Renton and Bellevue
  • Route 574 serves Lakewood, Tacoma, Federal Way, Kent and SeaTac

Paying your fare

Pay as you enter the bus. You can use cash, or an ORCA card.

King County Metro Transit bus service

King County Metro Transit offers bus service from the Airport.

  • Metro Route 124 provides daily early morning airport service to and from downtown Seattle.

Find Route 124 at the Tukwila International Blvd Link light rail station. Ride Link one stop to Tukwila, walk down the stairs or take the elevator to the ground level, and look for the bus stop.

  • Metro Route 156 serves Tukwila, Southcenter and SeaTac
  • Metro Route 180 serves Burien, Kent and Auburn
  • Metro Rapid Ride A Line serves Federal Way Transit Center on weekdays, Saturday and Sunday

Board Metro Routes 156, 180 and Rapid Ride A Line at the SeaTac/Airport Link station. Follow the "To Buses" signs at the station and cross the pedestrian bridge over International Boulevard. Bus stops will be on both sides of International Boulevard.
