Sound Transit CEO Joni Earl will speak at the 2004 Pierce County Livable Communities Fair at 10:30 a.m. The fair, which runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., provides a broad range of opportunities for community members to obtain information about community issues and resources related to arts and culture; economic development; education; the environment; land use; sustainable homes and gardens; parks and recreation; public safety and health; social and civic services; transportation and infrastructure; volunteer opportunities; youth activities; and many other topics. The Citizen Oversight Panel (COP) will conduct a special meeting to receive a briefing from Sound Transit staff on issues related to the proposal by the Regional Transportation Improvement District (RTID) to Sound Transit to participate in a joint transportation ballot measure.
