How to locate lost items

Lose something on a Sound Transit bus, train, or light rail vehicle? Here's how you can arrange a happy reunion.

Note: Please call before visiting agency customer service offices for the latest hours of operation.

King County Metro will hold your lost and found items for 30 days at the King Street Center, 201 S. Jackson St., Seattle.

You may report a lost item three ways:

  • By filling out out this form 24 hours a day
  • By calling Metro at 206-553-3000, or 1-800-542-7876, select option 2; Weekdays, 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • By visiting the King Street Center at 201 S. Jackson St., Seattle; Weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

In an emergency, call Sound Transit security dispatch: 206-398-5268.

Our partner agencies operate our ST Express buses. You can search for your lost and found items by contacting the agency that operates the bus you were riding when you misplaced the item.

Community Transit

Operates routes: 510, 512, 513, 532, and 535

Community Transit holds most items for 14 days, however bikes are only held for a maximum of 10 days due to space constraints.

Lost items can be retrieved from the RideStore, temporarily located at Newberry Square Retail Center, 16108 Ash Way, Suite 104, Lynnwood (across Ash Way from Ash Way Park & Ride).

You can call the RideStore customer service at 425-348-2350 to see if your item has been found. When claiming a lost bike, you must call the RideStore to set a pick-up appointment between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on a weekday.

Pick-up hours: Weekdays, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Hours: Weekdays, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Pierce Transit

Operates routes: 560, 574, 577, 578, 580, 586, 590, 592, 594, 595 and 596

Pierce Transit holds most lost and found items for 14 days in the Customer Service Center (Bus Shop) at the Tacoma Dome Station. 

You may find out if the Bus Shop has your item by:

  • Calling customer service at 253-581-8000 or 800-562-8109, select option1, then option 2; weekdays, 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Visiting the Bus Shop at Tacoma Dome Station, 505 E. 25th St., Tacoma.; weekdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Lost bicycles are held for approximately 10 days in a secured area at Pierce Transit Headquarters. 

  • When claiming a lost bike, pick up is at Pierce Transit Headquarters, located at 3701 96th St. SW in Lakewood, weekdays between 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

King County Metro

Operates routes: 522, 542, 545, 550, 554, 566

King County Metro holds items for 30 days at King Street Center, 201 S. Jackson St, Seattle.

Sound Transit holds items lost on Sounder for 10 business days in Sound Transit's Security Office in Union Station, 401 S. Jackson St., Seattle.

Pick-up hours: Weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

You can call customer service to see if your item is on the Lost and Found list at 888-889-6368.
