Sound Transit's schedule of public events for August 24 - 30

Saturday, August 24
10 a.m.-7 p.m. Columbia City Summer Fest
Intersection of South Alaska Street and Rainier Avenue South
Sound Transit staff will host an information booth at the festival.

Tuesday, August 27
10 a.m.-1 p.m. Sound Transit Citizens' Accessibility Advisory Committee meeting

The Citizens' Accessibility Advisory Committee, which was established by Sound Transit to review plans and programs and advise the agency about accessibility issues, will hold its regular monthly meeting.

Thursday, August 29
10 a.m. Lynnwood Transit Facility Groundbreaking
Existing Lynnwood Park-and-Ride Facility
202nd Street Southwest and 46th Avenue West
Sound Transit will join federal, state and community partners for a ceremonial groundbreaking on improvements at the Lynnwood Transit Facility. The project will include a new HOV interchange giving buses and carpools direct access to I-5's HOV lanes; improvements at nearby intersections; and a new transit center. The transit center will include more parking and bus bays and improved amenities such as larger passenger waiting areas, better weather protection, enhanced public safety, improved lighting and public art.

Broadway between South Ninth Street and South 11th Street, Tacoma
Sound Transit staff will host an information booth at the market.
