Light rail morning service delays Sept. 25 - 26

Early morning track work on MLK before 9:30 a.m.

Sound Transit contractors will adjust light rail track switches on Martin Luther King Jr. Way South this weekend. Link trains will be delayed from 5 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday because of the work.

Trains will need to operate on a single track between Beacon Hill Station and Othello Station to ensure a safe work area. The single-tracking on this 4.7-mile segment will require running trains approximately every 30 - 40 minutes instead of the usual 10 - 15 minute weekend schedule.

Northbound and southbound riders boarding at Beacon Hill, Mount Baker, Columbia City and Othello stations will board from the southbound platforms. Riders should follow signage at the stations.
