Limited media availability to join field trips to Vancouver B.C. and Portland, OR to view light rail systems

Sound Transit - The Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority - has organized field trips to Portland and Vancouver, B.C. for neighborhood leaders from Seattle, Tukwila and SeaTac to personally experience those cities' rail transit systems. The groups will also meet with local residents, businesses and city staff and hear how light rail has impacted their lives and communities. 

Every Friday in June, chartered buses will leave Seattle at 7 a.m. and return around 7:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Portland trips will be on June 5th and 19th and Vancouver trips will be on June 12th and 26th. 

The media is welcome to ride along on these trips on a first-come, first served basis. Space availability will be determined by the number of guests per trip and the requests from media representatives.
