Location and time of tomorrow's (Thursday Feb. 25) Sound Transit Board meeting

Publish Date
Body

The Sound Transit Board meeting to identify the preferred preliminary route and stations for the central Link light rail system will be held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Plymouth Congregational Church, Sixth and University streets in downtown Seattle.

The 24-mile all-electric Link light rail system will connect the cities of Seattle, Tukwila and SeaTac. The Sound Transit Board's action tomorrow - known in federal terms as identifying the "locally preferred alternative"(LPA) - is the next step in developing a final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the central Link light rail line. After the release of the final EIS this fall, the Board will make their final decision on the route.

Due to the high interest in this meeting and limited parking in the area, it is advised that people use transit, carpool and arrive early.
