South Line Sounder service not impacted and will operate as scheduled

Sounder North Line train service between Everett and Seattle is canceled through Thursday, Dec. 27, due to continued slope instability from heavy rains.

The earliest Sounder North service may resume is Friday, Dec. 28.

Sounder riders on the North Line can take regularly scheduled ST Express and Community Transit bus service for their weekday commutes.

Complete schedules for Sound Transit services are available at Schedules. Community Transit bus schedules can be found at http://www.commtrans.org/BusService/Schedules.cfm.

Sounder service from Lakewood to Seattle is not affected and will operate as scheduled.

Riders can sign up to receive automatic e-mail service alerts for Central Link, Sounder Seattle-Everett, Sounder Seattle-Tacoma, Tacoma Link or ST Express. Rider Alerts can help you plan your trip around inclement weather, inform you about special service to events, and alert you to schedule changes for holidays.

Regular fares will apply for all Sound Transit services. ORCA and all valid transit passes will be accepted.  Expect long lines at platform ticket vending machines so purchase in advance or arrive early to purchase a ticket.  Getting an ORCA card is a great way to skip lines at ticket vending machines. Cards only cost $5 for adults, plus whatever amount a rider chooses to load in the card's E-Purse or the cost of a pass that is good for unlimited transit trips. ORCA works on trains, buses and ferries throughout the region. More information is available at www.orcacard.com.
