Learn the latest information about Sound Transit's two new rail transit systems at a open house on Wednesday, October 7th 7-9 p.m. at the Foster High School Commons, 4242 South 144th in Tukwila.

Staff and experts from Sound Transit - the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority - will be on hand to answer questions about the future of Sounder rail and Link light rail, including viewing design concepts for the Tukwila commuter rail station and Link light rail track and station designs.

Sound Transit is implementing a ten-year regional transit plan called Sound Move, a seamless blend of three integrated transit systems: Sounder commuter rail, an 82-mile system which begin rush-hour service between Tacoma and Seattle in late 1999, and extend service north to Everett and south to Lakewood in early 2001; Link light rail, a 24-mile all-electric system that will connect the cities of SeaTac, Tukwila and Seattle and a 1.6-mile downtown Tacoma Link line; and the Regional Express program which includes up to 20 new limited-stop regional bus routes and numerous improvements to transit centers, park-and-ride lots and HOV lanes throughout the region.
