Ron Sims, Joni Earl to report on the state of Sound Transit at Tacoma luncheon

Sound Transit Board Chair Ron Sims and Executive Director Joni Earl will report on Sound Transit's progress for 2002 at a luncheon at Rhodes Center in Tacoma next Monday, May 20.

Earlier this year, Sims outlined his performance markers for the agency with an emphasis on delivering results in its Regional Express bus, Sounder commuter rail, and Link light rail programs. Earl reported on reforms and management changes made to improve the agency.

This luncheon will feature an update on agency reforms and a report on how the agency is performing against Sims' stated milestones.

The   event is sponsored by the Pierce-Tacoma Chamber, the City Club of Tacoma and the Lakewood Chamber. The luncheon will be hosted by John Ladenburg, Pierce County Executive and Sound Transit Vice Chair, and will include a moderated question and answer session following Sims and Earl's speeches. David Seago, Editorial Page Editor of The News Tribune, will act as the moderator.
