Selection process for Sound Transit Executive Director

 Sound Transit Board search committee, chaired by Pierce County Executive John Ladenburg, will meet on Friday, June 1, to evaluate the candidates for Sound Transit Executive Director. After meeting in executive session the committee will reconvene in open session in the Sound Transit Board Room, located at Union Station, 401 South Jackson Street and is expected to select the finalists for the interview process. The committee will narrow the field to no more than six finalists. A permanent Executive Director should be named within the next two weeks.

The agenda for Friday's Executive Director Search Committee meeting is:

10 minutes2. Update from recruiting firm of Jensen & Cooper
90 minutes3. Convene executive session to evaluate the qualifications of candidates
 4. Reconvene open session

On Friday, June 8, the finalists will come to Seattle for an orientation and final interviews. The Board search committee will meet in executive session on Saturday, June 9, to conduct the final interviews. Following the executive session, the committee will reconvene in open session to discuss and then announce its recommendation. Besides Mr. Ladenburg, the search committee includes Boardmembers Dave Earling, Richard McIver and Jim White. Ray Gould of the Sound Transit Citizens Oversight Panel is also on the committee.

The full Board will meet on Tuesday, June 12 at 10 a.m. in the Sound Transit Board Room to consider the search committee's recommendation and appoint a new director.
