Sound Transit announces new Project Control Manager

Sound Transit today announced that Steve Jacobson, CCC, has joined the Sound Transit management team. Jacobson is the agency's new Project Control manager.

Jacobson is a Certified Cost Consultant (CCC) by the Association for Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACE), accredited by the U.S. Council of Engineering Specialty Boards and International Cost Engineering Council.

He brings 21 years of experience to Sound Transit, most recently as the Estimating Manager with Weyerhaeuser. He has also worked as a construction project manager, a cost/schedule engineer, a senior cost engineer, and a senior project control engineer.

Jacobson received a BA from Gettysburg College and has taken graduate studies in engineering at Rutgers University. He will begin at Sound Transit on April 18.

"Steve is a great addition to our management team," Joni Earl, Sound Transit's Executive Director, said. "His experience with project control will be a great asset as we move forward with our light rail, bus and commuter rail programs."
