Sound Transit to hold public hearing on three proposed land acquisitions

Sound Transit will hold a public hearing Wednesday November 10, 2004 on the proposed acquisition of three parcels of land from the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

This public hearing is part of the land acquisition process (RCW 39.33.020) and will provide the public an opportunity to comment on the proposed transfer of the three following parcels of land:

  • Woodinville Park-and-Ride lot located at 140th Ave NE & NE 179th Street.  Sound Transit's proposed use will continue as a transit park-and-ride.  A mixed use development with housing is also proposed.
  • Mercer Island Park-and-Ride lot located at 80th Ave SE & N. Mercer Way.  The proposed use will continue as a transit park-and-ride.  Plans include construction of structured parking on the site. 
  • Issaquah Park-and-Ride lot located at SR 900 & Newport Way.  The proposed use will continue as a transit center.  Plans include construction of structured parking on the site.  A portion of the site may be transferred to the City to construct an Emergency Fire and Rescue station.

November 10th, 5-7:00 PM
Bellevue City Hall, Council Chambers
11511 Main Street, Bellevue, WA

 

Comments on the property acquisitions will be taken anytime during the public hearing.  Comments can also be submitted in writing, before the end of the comment period on November 24, 2004 to:
