Ride Sounder to Sunday's Mariners game! Special celebration will kick off Everett Home Run Service

Sound Transit will kick off its 2004 Sounder commuter rail special "Home Run Service," providing a great way for Mariners fans to get to 1:05 p.m. Sunday home games. In addition to service originating from Tacoma, Everett joins the line-up this year, with a celebration this Sunday in Everett to kick off the new service.

The Tacoma-Seattle train will depart from Tacoma at 11 a.m. and make stops at Puyallup, Sumner, Auburn, Kent and Tukwila on the way to a noon arrival at Seattle's King Street Station. In the north corridor, the train will depart from Everett Station at 11:15 a.m. with a stop at Edmonds Station before arriving at King Street Station at 12:14 p.m. For the return trip, both trains will depart King Street Station 30 minutes after the end of the ball game.

The special "Take Me out to the Ballgame" celebration in Everett, sponsored by Sound Transit and the Mariners, will run from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. It will include refreshments, Webbly the Aqua Sox frog and a chance to win Mariners tickets and free Sounder rides to future games. The Mariner Moose will be at the King Street Station platform to greet arriving fans.
