Sound Transit Board Chair Ron Sims and Executive Director Joni Earl will present the Sound Transit road map for 2002. Sims will lay down his performance markers for the agency and report on milestones accomplished to-date; Earl will describe reforms the agency has made in the past year.

Local, state and federal officials will join Sound Transit for the dedication of the Overlake Transit Center and Park-and-Ride lot at NE 40th Street.

The Trans-Lake Washington project, a joint effort of Sound Transit, WSDOT, FHWA and FTA, is evaluating information for increasing mobility across Lake Washington. The Technical Committee, made up of experts from local jurisdictions and resource agencies, evaluates the project's environmental analysis to ensure its accuracy.
