Sounder service to Seahawks games begins Sunday

Special event day trains will serve home game fans

Sound Transit's special service to Seattle Seahawks games begins this Sunday, when the Seahawks play the San Francisco 49ers at Qwest Field at 1:15 p.m.

Two southline trains will depart from Tacoma at 10:05 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. The 10:05 a.m. express service train out of Tacoma will stop in Puyallup and travel directly to Seattle, arriving in King Street Station at 10:59 a.m. A second train will depart from Sumner at 10:37 a.m., Auburn at 10:45 a.m., Kent at 10:52 a.m., and Tukwila at 10:59 a.m. before arriving in Seattle at 11:22 a.m. The 10:45 a.m. train out of Tacoma will pick up passengers at all southline stations before arriving in Seattle at 11:47 a.m.

Two northline trains will leave Everett at 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., stop in Mukilteo and Edmonds, and arrive in Seattle at 11:14 a.m. and 11:29 a.m.

Return service southbound will depart King Street Station 10, 20 and 40 minutes after the game ends and stop at all stations. Northbound trips will depart 15 and 30 minutes after the game ends.

In addition to its special Sounder service, Sound Transit's Link light rail offers fast, convenient service to and from the stadium. Link light rail serves 13 stations in downtown Seattle, SODO, Beacon Hill, Rainier Valley, Tukwila and SeaTac, and its Stadium Station is only a half-block walk to Safeco Field.

Regular fares apply for all Sound Transit services. ORCA and all valid transit passes will be accepted.
