Special meeting of Sound Transit Executive Committee to be held tomorrow, Tuesday, March 23
The Sound Transit Executive Committee will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, March 23, 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., in the Sound Transit 5th floor conference room, 1110 Second Ave., Seattle, WA.
The committee will consider Resolution No. R99-9, confirming the executive director's authority to authorize legal/administrative actions, suits and appeals.
Sound Transit - The Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority - is implementing Sound Move, the regional transit plan approved by voters in 1996 which includes a 21-mile Link light rail system connecting the cities of SeaTac, Tukwila and Seattle and a 1.6-mile downtown Tacoma Link line; 82 miles of Sounder commuter rail service between Tacoma/Lakewood and Everett; and the Regional Express program which includes 20 new limited-stop regional bus routes and numerous improvements to transit centers, park-and-ride lots and HOV lanes throughout the region.
