Take Link light rail home from downtown New Year’s Eve festivities
Last train from Westlake Station at 1:15 a.m.; Tacoma Link also extending hours
Sound Transit will once again offer late-night light rail service from downtown Seattle this New Year's Eve with the last trains heading south from Westlake Station at 1:15 a.m. Saturday morning.
The last scheduled weekday trains normally depart Westlake Station at 12:37 a.m. Sound Transit will add two trains departing at 1 a.m. and 1:15 a.m. running to SeaTac/Airport Station this Friday night/Saturday morning to accommodate holiday revelers.
Sound Transit will also offer late-night service on Tacoma Link light rail. The last southbound train from the Theater District will depart at 1:10 a.m. and the last northbound train from the Tacoma Dome will depart at 1 a.m.
Sound Transit services will operate under holiday schedules on Saturday, Jan. 1. There will be no Sounder rail service, and Sunday schedules will apply for all ST Express buses, Central Link light rail, and Tacoma Link in observation of New Years Day.
Sound Transit Sounder trains and ST Express buses will operate on regular weekday service on Friday, Dec. 31.
Sounder will also operate four round-trip special event trains for the 5:15 p.m. Seahawks game on Sunday, Jan. 2. Northbound trains to Seattle leave Tacoma at 2:50 p.m. and 3:05 p.m. Southbound trains leave Everett at 2:40 p.m. and 2:50 p.m. Return trips to Tacoma and Everett leave King Street Station 15 and 30 minutes after the game.
