Updated upcoming work on Link light rail for March

Closures and temporary service changes will accommodate planned maintenance, repairs

Sound Transit will be altering service to accommodate necessary work impacting Link light rail. Buses will replace trains during limited periods. 
 
Crosslake Connection work period (March 18-22) 
 
2 Line simulated service will not operate from Wednesday, March 18 through Sunday, March 22. 2 Line trains will run a pre-simulated service scheduled between South Bellevue and Downtown Redmond. This is a planned closure and will not impact the opening date of the 2 Line. Full Crosslake service beings March 28.  
 
Downtown Seattle Tunnel Closure (March 21-22) 
 
Buses replace trains between Capitol Hill and Stadium on Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22 for essential maintenance in the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel. This work includes replacing a cracked rail at Pioneer Square Station, which when removed will allow trains to return to full speed going northbound through the tunnel.  
 
Federal Way Enhanced Fencing Installation (starting March 23)   
 
Starting Monday, March 23 1 Line trains will operate on a reduced schedule during weekday evenings to accommodate enhanced fencing installation along the Federal Way Link Extension. To support a full schedule on Mariners opening day, this work is not scheduled for Thursday, March 26. Go Mariners!
