Pioneer Square Station

Sound Transit will upgrade fan ventilation equipment to improve system reliability. This work requires closing the University of Washington and Capitol Hill stations.

On Saturday, Nov. 8, shuttle buses will replace trains between U District and Westlake stations from the start of service until 2 p.m.

Regular 1 Line service will continue between Lynnwood City Center and U District stations, and between Westlake and Angle Lake stations.

The ONLY vehicles allowed access during the construction will be those using the ADA parking spaces and paratransit bus service. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Trains will need to share a single track because ST crews will be installing railings on the southbound (Angle Lake) platform side for safety reasons. Signage will reflect trains’ destinations. The work schedule is subject to change.
