Pioneer Square Station


The Issaquah Transit Center Garage will experience a partial closure until further notice due to project work.

The 1st floor remains open to the public, floors 2, 3 & 4 will be closed until further notice.

At this time the length of the closure is unknown. Updates will be provided when available.
The Pioneer Square Station entrance on 3rd Avenue and Yesler Way (Exit C) will experience a full closure of the stairs, escalators, and elevator, as well as the station's south mezzanine, from July 8 to August 9.

During this closure, please use the alternate entrances located on 3rd Avenue and Cherry Street (Exit A) or 3rd Avenue and James St (Exit B), serving the north mezzanine.

Passengers needing elevator service can use the elevator at Exit A, located on the east side of 3rd Avenue between Cherry and James streets. In the event of an unplanned elevator outage serving the north mezzanine, bus service along 3rd Avenue can help passengers connect to and from the 1 Line at International District /Chinatown, University Street, or Westlake stations.

Beginning June 3rd, Sound Transit Fare Ambassadors have started checking fares within the FARE PAID ZONES, in certain Seattle stations.

For service to Northgate via downtown Seattle, from Seattle -Tacoma International Airport:

On weekdays and Saturday, the last train to Northgate Station with service through downtown Seattle departs SeaTac/Airport Station at about 11:58 p.m. All remaining trains will terminate at Beacon Hill Station.

On Sunday’s, the last train to Northgate Station with service through downtown Seattle departs SeaTac/Airport Station at about 11:13 p.m. All remaining trains will terminate at Beacon Hill Station.

Passengers are recommended to exit at Mount Baker Station and use the following King County Metro Routes to travel towards Northgate Station:

• Passengers requiring service to downtown Seattle, please take King County Metro Route 7.

• Passengers requiring service to Capitol Hill Station, please take King County Metro Route 7 to 3rd Avenue and Pike Street, then transfer to King County Metro Route 49 at Pike Street and 4th Avenue.

• Passengers requiring service to University of Washington and U District stations, please use King County Metro Route 48.

• Passengers requiring service to Roosevelt and Northgate stations, please use King County Metro Route 48 and transfer to King County Metro Route 67.
