U District Station

Several ST Express bus routes and the 1 Line will have schedule adjustments to improve reliability.
Entrance closures:

- When the 23rd Ave S entrance is closed, please use the entrance to the garage at 21st Ave S.

- When the 21st Ave S entrance is closed, please use the entrance to the parking garage at 23rd Ave S.

Beginning Monday, July 7, the two ticket vending machines located on street level at Link light rail University of Washington Station will be temporarily removed for approx. 8 – 9 weeks for Fare Paid Zone work. This work will update UW Station to look similar to what riders see at University District, Roosevelt and Northgate stations. All other ticket vending machines at this station will continue to be available for rider use.
Expect 12-minute headways starting at 7 p.m. daily, with regular service resuming when work concludes each morning at the start of service.

August 25-29: Platform to Angle Lake - 7 p.m. - start of service
September 3-5: Platform to Angle Lake - 7 p.m. - start of service
September 8-13: Platform to Angle Lake - 7 p.m. - start of service
September 15-18: Platform to Angle Lake - 7 p.m. - start of service
September 22-26: Platform to Angle Lake - 7 p.m. - start of service
September 29-30: Platform to Lynnwood City Center - 7 p.m. - start of service

The schedule may extend beyond September 30, with updates posted at stations and online.

ADA parking will still be available within the garage on levels 2 through 5. On levels 2-4, there are five ADA parking stalls on each level, and three ADA parking stalls on level 5.

An additional 20 ADA parking stalls, including four van-accessible stalls, are in the new surface lot at the south end of the bus loop near the corner of S 320th St and 22nd Ave S. Drivers can access this lot from 22nd Ave S between S 319th St and S 320th St. This lot also contains ADA paratransit and general pick-up/drop-off locations.

Sound Transit is closing part of the current pedestrian path in the Federal Way Transit Center area for construction work, affecting the pedestrian path to the bus loop. This work will happen for approximately two weeks. Work will take place September 1-16, from 8 am - 5 pm.

The ONLY vehicles allowed access during the construction will be those using the ADA parking spaces and paratransit bus service. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
