University Street Station

To ride the 1 Line:

1. Cross the South Mezzanine.
2. Take the elevator down to the Angle Lake platform.
3. Go to the opposite end of the Angle Lake platform toward Exit B.
4. Take the elevator up to the North Mezzanine.
5. Cross the North Mezzanine.
6. Take the elevator down to the Northgate platform.

To exit the station to 2nd Ave:

1. Use the elevator toward Exit B (2nd Ave & University St) and exit via the pedestrian walkway.

To exit the station to 3rd Ave:

1. Go to the opposite end of the platform toward Exit B.
2. Take the elevator up to the North Mezzanine.
3. Cross the North Mezzanine.
4. Take the elevator down to the Angle Lake platform.
5. Go to the opposite end of the Angle Lake platform toward Exit C.
6. Take the elevator up to the South Mezzanine.
7. At the South Mezzanine, take elevator up to the street (3rd Ave & Seneca St).
To ride the 1 Line to Angle Lake:

1. Cross the South Mezzanine and take the elevator down to the Northgate platform.
2. Go to the opposite end of the Northgate platform and take the platform elevator up to the North Mezzanine toward Exit B.
3. Cross the North Mezzanine and take the elevator down to the Angle Lake platform to board the 1 Line exit via elevator, ride the 1 Line to Pioneer Square Station and transfer to a Northgate train to return to University Street Station.

To exit the station to 2nd Ave:

1. Use the elevator toward Exit B (2nd Ave & University St) and exit via the pedestrian walkway.

To exit the station to 3rd Ave:

1. Take the elevator toward Exit B (2nd Ave & University St) to the North Mezzanine.
2. Cross the North Mezzanine and take the elevator down to the Northgate platform.
3. Go to the opposite end of the Northgate platform and take the elevator up to the South Mezzanine toward Exit C.
4. Take the South Mezzanine elevator up to 3rd Ave & Seneca St.
The University Street elevators serving the north mezzanine to the Benaroya Hall lobby, near Exit A2, will have reduced hours for public use beginning Tuesday, January 2, 2024. The elevators will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, except holidays.

On certain weekends and evenings, the Benaroya Hall Boeing Gallery will offer access to University Street Station from 2.5 hours prior to any public event through its conclusion. See the Seattle Symphony’s calendar of Benaroya Hall events for dates and times of public events.

The elevators will be in service at the specified times. Please use alternate elevators when these elevators are not in service.
The elevator at this entrance will remain open for passenger use.

Please use the alternate entrances located on 2nd Avenue (Exit B) or 3rd Avenue and Seneca Street (Exit C) during this closure.

Beginning June 3rd, Sound Transit Fare Ambassadors have started checking fares within the FARE PAID ZONES, in certain Seattle stations.

For service to Northgate via downtown Seattle, from Seattle -Tacoma International Airport:

On weekdays and Saturday, the last train to Northgate Station with service through downtown Seattle departs SeaTac/Airport Station at about 11:58 p.m. All remaining trains will terminate at Beacon Hill Station.

On Sunday’s, the last train to Northgate Station with service through downtown Seattle departs SeaTac/Airport Station at about 11:13 p.m. All remaining trains will terminate at Beacon Hill Station.

Passengers are recommended to exit at Mount Baker Station and use the following King County Metro Routes to travel towards Northgate Station:

• Passengers requiring service to downtown Seattle, please take King County Metro Route 7.

• Passengers requiring service to Capitol Hill Station, please take King County Metro Route 7 to 3rd Avenue and Pike Street, then transfer to King County Metro Route 49 at Pike Street and 4th Avenue.

• Passengers requiring service to University of Washington and U District stations, please use King County Metro Route 48.

• Passengers requiring service to Roosevelt and Northgate stations, please use King County Metro Route 48 and transfer to King County Metro Route 67.
