Kent Station Access Improvements Project

Kent access improvements

Sound Transit is working to improve access to the Kent Sounder station for pedestrians, bicyclists, bus riders and drivers. In November of 2017 the Sound Transit Board identified a preferred package of improvements for the Kent station. This includes a new parking garage located at East James Street and Railroad Avenue North with approximately 530 spaces, as well as pedestrian, bicycle, and transit access improvements. Read more in the project fact sheet. Improvements are expected to be completed by 2023.

With two roundtrips added to the Sounder south line in 2017, 13 daily roundtrips now stop at the Kent station, and ridership has been growing steadily. As ridership and service increases, easy and reliable access to the stations will continue to be important.

Attend the open house: Thursday, Oct. 18, 5:30-7:30pm, Green River College, Kent Campus, Room 283, 417 Ramsay Way, Kent
