Football season is back, and we’re celebrating the fans who make transit part of their gameday tradition.
Before the Seahawks take the field for their regular season opener, join us at the Sound Transit 12s Rally on Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. in front of Union Station.
You can get there by taking Link light rail's 1 or 2 Line to International District/Chinatown Station!
Whether you’re a longtime Link rider or thinking about taking transit to a game for the first time, this free event is your chance to get into the Seahawks spirit before kickoff.
Why ride Link to the game?
For thousands of fans, taking Link light rail is already part of the gameday experience. It’s an easy way to avoid traffic, skip parking hassles, and arrive just steps from Lumen Field.
And now, with expanded transit connections across the region, even more fans can make Link part of their journey.
Riders from Eastside communities can get to the action with the 2 Line, while fans traveling from Kent, Des Moines, Federal Way, and other South King County communities have a new convenient connection via the 1 Line.
Whether you're a seasoned transit rider or trying it out for the first time, there’s never been a better time to ride to kickoff.

We’re turning up the gameday energy with activities and giveaways designed for Seahawks fans:
- A live DJ spinning tunes and bringing the pregame hype
- A 12s-themed photo opportunity, complete with disposable camera photos
- Football and Sound Transit-themed temporary tattoos
- Free Link ride-home tickets
- A chance to sign up for the LifeSTyle newsletter and enter to win two Club-level Seahawks tickets to the Nov. 8 game, plus stadium-approved gear from the ST Shop
