Kickin' it around the region with World Cup watch parties

Publish Date

As the FIFA World Cup comes to Seattle, the Puget Sound region is preparing a network of official fan celebrations, public viewing sites, and large-scale gatherings where fans can experience matches together.

These events are designed to be free, accessible, and connected to transit, making it easy to be part of the global atmosphere without a ticket to the stadium.

Seattle Center Fan Celebration (transfer required)

The primary official fan celebration site will be at Seattle Center. This hub is expected to serve as the region’s central gathering point, featuring large screens, live entertainment, and cultural programming during match days.

It’s directly connected to transit via the Seattle Monorail, which can be accessed at Westlake station.

Waterfront Park Viewing Site

If you don’t want to make the connection to the Monorail, or maybe just prefer a view of the Olympics with your soccer, you can head to the downtown waterfront.

Waterfront Park will host official match-viewing experiences as part of Seattle’s distributed fan celebration model. This site is designed for large crowds and scenic outdoor viewing, and is close to both Westlake and Symphony stations.

Pacific Place Fan Activation Zone

One more option close to Westlake is in the heart of downtown. Pacific Place will be transformed into a dedicated fan gathering space with public viewing screens and event programming.

Victory Hall Celebration Space

A short walk from Stadium station, the Victory Hall area in SODO will host additional official viewing events and fan programming tied to the World Cup atmosphere. As it is right in the middle of the excitement and buzz, you'll want to get here early to avoid the crowds as much as possible.

Everett Fan Zone (transfer required)

Everett will host an official fan zone at Boxcar Park along the waterfront, transforming the area into a summer-long celebration hub. Fans can expect large outdoor screens, food vendors, beer gardens, and family-friendly programming set against views of Port Gardner Bay. The site is easily accessible via Sounder commuter rail and regional transit connections.

Tacoma

One of the most significant official regional celebrations will be hosted by the Puyallup Tribe of Indians in partnership with Pierce County and the City of Tacoma. The Tribe will launch a World Cup Kickoff Celebration on June 12, 2026, featuring a community parade along Portland Avenue, cultural performances, and a fireworks show.

Throughout the tournament, the Tribe will also operate a dedicated Fan Zone on the Puyallup Tribal Administration campus in Tacoma, featuring live match broadcasts on large outdoor screens, food vendors, cultural programming, and family activities during all Seattle-hosted matches.

Shuttle service from the Tacoma Dome and Link light rail station will connect fans directly to the site, making it one of the most accessible major viewing experiences in the South Sound.

In addition to match-day viewing, the Tribe will host related cultural events including a World Cup Powwow, Stickgame tournament, and community gatherings, creating a full festival atmosphere throughout the World Cup window.

Marymoor Park

Redmond is rolling out the welcome mat for the World Cup, and Sound Transit's 2 Line makes getting there easy.

Downtown Redmond is the first stop on the 2 Line, putting it within easy reach for riders coming from Seattle, Lynnwood, and everywhere in between.

The city launched "Redmond is Ready for the World," a community-centered campaign offering programming for residents, local businesses, and visitors throughout the tournament. That includes neighborhood watch party grants available to nonprofits, community groups, and businesses as well as a free watch party at Marymoor Park on July 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the World Cup final.

Whether you are catching a match in Seattle or celebrating with your community in Redmond, the 2 Line connects you to all of it. Make sure you secure your free ticket and see all of Redmond's events during the tournament.

More East King County

You don't have to cross into Seattle to catch the action. Bellevue has its own match-day scene — all accessible by the 2 Line.

Mirra, an interactive games venue in the Bellevue Collection, is planning an immersive watch-party experience designed to feel as close to the stadium as possible.

Bellevue Brewing Company in the Spring District plans to show every match and transform its taproom into a central gathering place for fans, with a World Cup-themed beer called the Bellevue Baller, with ingredients sourced from all three host countries. A portion of proceeds will go to local youth soccer program Mid Lakes United.

The Spring District is also expected to host events, youth soccer activities, and live programming throughout the tournament.

Both venues sit along the 2 Line, making them easy stops before or after a match in Seattle.

South King County

Kickin' It Federal Way is a three-day summer festival featuring FIFA World Cup watch parties, live music, family activities, soccer tournaments and clinics, and food vendors — and everything is free.

The festival runs June 19 through 21 at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center. Best of all, the venue is a five-minute walk from Federal Way Transit Center and Federal Way Downtown Station, making it one of the most transit-accessible watch party destinations in the region.

Near Angle Lake Station, The Roadhouse will host seven free public watch parties, kicking off on Wednesday, June 17 — including the Seattle home USA match vs. Australia on Friday, June 19.

Watch parties won’t just be a screening of the game. In true Roadhouse fashion, Show Brazil, the venue manager, is curating lively experiences, including live music, a DJ, and a food truck. On June 17 and June 24, the games will even coincide with the SeaTac Farmers Market happening just outside on the plaza, making it easy to turn the outing into an unforgettable experience.

The Roadhouse has a capacity of 145 people; entry to these events will be on a first come, first served basis. Early arrival is encouraged.
