Looking for a new job in the new year?

If you’re searching for a meaningful career where you can make a difference for future generations, you’ve come to the right place.

Sound Transit's team of talent advisors are always looking for candidates who like challenges, a fast-paced environment and have a passion for transportation.

If this sounds like you, check out our current job openings.

Talent Acquisition Manager Clara O'Brien is passionate about talking to people, learning about different cultures and traveling to different countries.

"I decided to take that passion to my professional life and become a recruiter," she said. "Recruiting has given me the chance to connect with our community, listen to their needs and adapt our recruiting strategy to hire a more diverse workforce that represents our region."

Before coming to Sound Transit, she worked in human resources and talent acquisition for Paccar and Boeing.

She's our latest "Inside Sound Transit" guest – where we introduce you to the people working to make it easier to get to where you live, work and play!

Now, on to the questions!

Q: What do you tell your friends you do for work?

A: Great question! I tell them my job is fun because I get to talk to people and dream about how I can make their lives better.

Q: What’s your passion outside of your job?

A: Running. I have run four marathons and two Olympic triathlons.

Q: What attracted you to work at Sound Transit?

A: The community and the people. I was born in Europe too and didn’t own a car until I moved to the U.S. Public transportation has been in my life since I started going to school at age 3.

Q: How do you get to work?

A: I use the bus - the C line.

Q: What three things would you take with you to a desert island (besides food and water)?

A: Photos, my podcasts and a puzzle.
