For the East Link Extension I-90 Segment, HDR strengthened construction oversight, inspection support, and quality verification, coordinated with regional partners and agencies, and supported testing and permitting - helping advance project readiness and connect communities across the region.
Jacobs
At Jacobs, they make the world smarter, more connected and more sustainable. To bring critical infrastructure programs to fruition, they partner with communities to advance return-oriented infrastructure developments that deliver sustainable outcomes. Founded in 1947, Jacobs has served the Puget Sound region for more than 70 years. Jacobs (CH2M Hill) initially led the preliminary engineering and environmental documentation for East Link and later provided construction management services for the Seattle to South Bellevue segment (E130). Jacobs is proud to support Sound Transit in the opening of the Crosslake Connection and completion of the 2 Line.
WSP
At WSP, they focus on future-proofing cities and environments through transit and infrastructure, water, properties and buildings, and energy. Locally dedicated with international scale, WSP has supported Sound Transit since the agency’s inception and has been part of the Puget Sound community for nearly 50 years. For the Crosslake Connection, WSP served as Final Design Lead and Engineer of Record, converting the I-90 reversible HOV lanes to exclusive light rail and advancing the world’s first light rail crossing on a floating bridge. They led a large, multidisciplinary team; coordinated closely with Sound Transit, WSDOT, and the GC/CM contractor; and guided the design through construction - supporting safe, innovative delivery of the 2 Line.
Hatch
Hatch is a global professional services and engineering firm that draws on decades of business and technical expertise in the infrastructure, energy, and mining sectors. Since 1998, Hatch has partnered with Sound Transit, supporting systems engineering and vehicle procurement across the region. For the Crosslake Connection, Hatch led the final systems design, including traction power, overhead catenary, train control (signals), communications, and stray current mitigation. As part of the world’s first light rail retrofit of HOV lanes on a floating bridge, Hatch helped deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable transit infrastructure for the 2 Line. They envision a future where seamless transit options benefit everyone, reduce environmental impact, and create vibrant, thriving communities.

Aside from this opening making it easier than ever for commuters to get their deluxe fry and shake, partnering with Sound Transit allows Dick’s to share their fresh, local food with riders and highlights their commitment to the community.
UW Medicine
UW Medicine is an integrated clinical, research and learning health system with a single mission to improve the health of the public. Its faculty, staff, students and trainees are dedicated to delivering high- quality patient care and making important discoveries that lead to new approaches for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of human disease. The Crosslake Connection provides new access to Harborview for the communities in Bellevue and Redmond as well as their Eastside services like Orthopedic Health, Sports Medicine and Spine care at their Eastside Specialty Clinic in Bellevue, and the Primary and Urgent Care clinics in Kirkland, Issaquah, Woodinville, and Factoria.

For the Crosslake Connection, STV served as the systems testing and integration contractor, overseeing critical transit systems engineering and verification for the 2 Line. Over seven years, their team led technical reviews, quality assurance, inspection, and testing of traction power, communications, signaling, and train control systems - helping enable the safe operation of the world’s first floating-bridge light rail connection.

They are proud to provide a first and last mile transportation option to millions of Washingtonians every year, and many of their riders rely on Lime to connect them to mass transit options. The Crosslake opening is deeply aligned with Lime’s goal to better help people get to the moments that matter. They’re excited that the 2 Line will bring another sustainable transportation option to residents and visitors on Lake Washington’s Eastside and connect our region more than ever before.
Bellevue Downtown Association
They’re the people behind the place, the business and civic leaders who champion a healthy Downtown community. The Bellevue Downtown Association supports its members with best-in-class advocacy, major community events, and strategic programs to help the Downtown area thrive. They created Connect Bellevue (formerly TransManage) in 1986 to confront the transportation challenges of a growing downtown, with the mission to enhance Bellevue’s quality of life and economic vitality by promoting transportation options and improving accessibility for all. Their organization believes the Crosslake Connection will help the community better understand what Downtown Bellevue has to offer and overall enhance connectivity within Bellevue and neighboring areas.
Sno-Isle Libraries
Sno-Isle Libraries vision is that everyone in our community is connected to their library. They engage and inspire our communities through equitable access to knowledge and resources. Sno-Isle Libraries serves over 800,000 residents in Snohomish and Island counties through 23 community libraries, online services, and Library on Wheels. As community connector, they get loud for libraries in our community. They are excited to Ride the Wave and further connect our region! They want everyone to be connected to their library, which often times starts with transit.
Seattle Symphony
Under the leadership of Music Director Xian Zhang, the Seattle Symphony unleashes the power of music, brings people together and lifts the human spirit. The Symphony performs in Benaroya Hall in the heart of downtown Seattle from September through July, reaching over 500,000 people annually through live performances and radio broadcasts. They are excited to welcome Eastside audiences to the Seattle Symphony and Benaroya Hall through the Eastlink connection to Symphony Station! They hope to show how easy and convenient it is to take Link to Symphony Station, which not only connects to Benaroya Hall, but also the larger downtown arts scene.
