Since 2014, HDR has partnered with Sound Transit to provide construction management services for the Bellevue segment of the East Link Extension, helping to turn the agency’s vision for the 2-Line into a reality. Bellevue Downtown Association
They are the people behind the place, the business and civic leaders who champion a healthy Downtown community. Their mission is to strengthen the economic and cultural vitality of Downtown Bellevue – visioning Downtown as the economic and cultural heart of the Eastside. The Bellevue Downtown Association is invested in what happens in the area and is excited to welcome future riders to Downtown Bellevue through the 2 Line opening. Their organization believes the opening will help the community better understand what Downtown Bellevue has to offer and overall enhance connectivity within Bellevue and neighboring areas.
BelRed Arts District
In May 2023, a passionate group of community volunteers came together to start something special called the BelRed Arts District Community Alliance (we'll call it BelRed Arts District for short). They are a grassroots, community-led, nonprofit organization incorporated in Washington. Created by the community for the community and have been working hard to bring people closer together through the power of arts, culture, and innovation. Championing BelRed as a dynamic, evolving cultural hub where creativity and innovation drive social and economic vitality — A gathering place where nature meets art and communities connect through inclusivity and joyful transformation.

The Spring District
The Spring District is committed to creating community both within our neighborhood boundaries and the greater Eastside. Their values of Integrity, Quality, and Service stem from our corporate development arm, Wright Runstad & Company, who created the vision of transforming an old cold-storage warehouse facility into an urban mixed-use neighborhood. As the first TOD (transit-oriented development) of its kind in BelRed, The Spring District neighborhood is home to Sound Transit’s Spring District Station. A coordinated effort between Wright Runstad & Company, the City of Bellevue, and Sound Transit made this vision come to life, proving that public-private partnerships can create transformational change.
