Closure of westbound SR 520 on-ramp from Redmond Way/SR 202 starts April 15
Ramp will be closed for four months for construction of Downtown Redmond Link
Crews working on the Downtown Redmond Link Extension will be closing the westbound onramp to SR 520 from Redmond Way starting Friday, April 15 to raise the ramp over the future light rail line that will travel at ground level underneath it. The ramp is expected to be closed for four months.
The closure is necessary because crews do not have enough room to build both the new on-ramp and a temporary on-ramp in this location. Detours to westbound SR 520 will be in place from eastbound Redmond Way and westbound Northeast 76th Street or Northeast Union Hill Road. Details can be found at https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/WASOUND/bulletins/3107f34. Sound Transit encourages drivers in the area to plan their route and allow extra time for their trips.
Downtown Redmond Link will add two new light rail stations in southeast Redmond, serving Marymoor Village near Marymoor Park, and in the downtown residential and retail core. Please visit https://www.soundtransit.org/system-expansion/downtown-redmond-link-extension for more information.
