Media invited to attend transit-oriented development seminar on Friday, June 18

Real Estate Development at Transit Stations: Seizing the Opportunity" is the title of a day-long comprehensive seminar sponsored by Sound Transit, the City of Seattle, the Puget Sound Regional Council, King County Metro, Fannie Mae and the Seattle Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. The seminar will be held on Friday, June 18 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Four Seasons Olympic Hotel, 411 University Street in downtown Seattle.

More than 150 developers, financial industry officials, planners and community and civic leaders are already registered to attend the seminar that will feature comments from Sound Transit Boardmembers Seattle Mayor Paul Schell and King County Councilwoman Cynthia Sullivan. Along with numerous local and regional officials from both the private and public sector, national experts from San Francisco, Portland and Oakland will share their experience and success with the ability of transit systems to enhance communities and develop economic opportunities.
