Sound Transit Board will not decide on its fare policies today

Body

It has been brought to our attention that broadcast stories have aired this morning stating that the Sound Transit Board of Directors will decide on fare policies for regional transit services, and may make a decision pertaining to light rail routes.  Neither of these items are on the board agenda for consideration or decision today.

The decision on fare policy is scheduled to be before the Sound Transit Board on Feb. 11.  The selection of a locally-preferred route for light rail to advance to the next level of study is on the board's agenda for Feb. 25.  A final decision of light rail routing will not occur until late fall or later.
