Sound Transit monthly maintenance program in effect Oct. 6-8

Buses replace Link 1 and 2 Line trains in Downtown Seattle

Buses will replace 1 and 2 Line trains from Westlake to Northgate during late night hours Oct. 6, 7, and 8, for extended monthly maintenance. Passengers should plan for additional travel time as crews perform critical maintenance while enhancing system resiliency.

The last Northbound 1 Line train will depart Federal Way at 9:40 p.m., serving Westlake at 10:36 p.m. and Northgate at 10:52 p.m. The last Southbound 1 Line train will depart Lynnwood at 10:21 p.m., serving Northgate at 10:36 p.m. and Westlake at 10:52 p.m.

The last Eastbound 2 Line train will depart Lynnwood at 9:52 p.m., serving Northgate at 10:07 p.m. and Westlake at 10:23 p.m. The last Westbound 2 Line train will depart Downtown Redmond at 9:42 p.m., serving Westlake at 10:28 p.m. and Northgate at 10:44 p.m.

All trips between Westlake and Northgate after those trains will be served by Link shuttle buses, which will operate every 10-15 minutes, making all stops. The 1 Line will operate between Federal Way and Westlake and between Northgate and Lynnwood, and the 2 Line will operate between Downtown Redmond and Westlake.

Sound Transit remains committed to working closely with its partners to continue serving the public. Efforts will continue to prioritize serving riders who depend on Sound Transit’s services, including seniors, people with disabilities, Title VI-protected populations (race, color, national origin), passengers with low incomes, and those with limited proficiency in English.
