Public can provide input on design ideas for new garage

Sound Transit will conduct an open house from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, September 11 at the Puyallup Activity Center, 210 W. Pioneer Street. The public is invited to provide input on the visual design of the new Sounder station parking garage.

People unable to attend the event can participate in an online survey at soundtransit.org/Puyallup-access-improvements

In the 2008 Sound Transit 2 ballot measure, voters approved funding for improving commuter access to Sounder train stations. Puyallup station improvements include a new parking garage, additional surface parking, and enhanced connections for pedestrians and bicycle users.

Sound Transit will be hiring a construction contractor next year and is scheduled to open the garage in 2021. Comments on the design ideas must be submitted by Friday, September 21.
