Nighttime Closures: Northgate Way between First Ave NE and Corliss Ave N

Wednesday, October 19, and Thursday, October 20, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sound Transit’s contractor will close Northgate Way between First Ave NE and Corliss Ave N. in order to install the wire for a new electrical line running along the west side I-5 on Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) property. This work is necessary ahead of Northgate Station and elevated guideway construction.
What to Expect:
- Access: Northgate Way between First Ave NE and Corliss Ave N. will be closed to vehicle traffic.
- Vehicle Detour: o Westbound Detour: Head south on Meridian Ave N to College Way N. Turn east on N 92nd Street then north on First Avenue NE. Turn west on Northgate Way.
- Eastbound Detour: Head south on First Avenue NE. Turn west on N 92nd Street. Turn north on College Way N. which turns into Meridian Ave N. Turn east on Northgate Way.
- The Northgate Way on and off ramps on the west side of I-5 will be closed.
- Noise from construction vehicles and equipment. Traffic signage, uniformed police officer and flaggers will be present during the work activities.
