Starting July 7 at 6 p.m., crews will close the sidewalk between the corner of 61st Ave NE and the parking lot entrance to the Uplake Center for night work. The closure will accommodate the construction of the Stride station platform. It is expected to be completed in December 2026.
On Monday, June 29, Sound Transit will close the intersection of Central Ave N and E Pioneer Street from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for night work. Detours will direct traffic around the closure, primarily to 4th Avenue N.
Starting June 24 at 6 p.m., crews will close the sidewalk between the corner of 61st Ave NE and the parking lot entrance to the Uplake Center for night work. This closure will occur during weeknight work hours (6 p.m.– 6 a.m., Monday–Friday) until Wednesday, July 1.

Update: This closure has been extended to include night work on Tuesday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 17. During that time crews will work to repave the road.
