The Sound Transit Board of Directors is seeking interested volunteers to join the Community Oversight Panel (COP). There is currently one future position available for the North King County subarea, beginning on March 1, 2023. The Board may take action through its Executive Committee for a recommendation to fill the vacancy as early as February 2, 2023.
Sound Transit actively seeks persons from diverse backgrounds and professional areas of expertise to support agency oversight, planning and operations. Persons of color and women are encouraged to apply.
Candidates should be available to attend meetings once each month during evening from 5:30 – 8:15 p.m. and must have experience, skills, or insight in one or more areas related to the panel's responsibilities:
- Community engagement activities
- Project planning and alignment decisions
- Budget and financial plan
- Project schedule and budget adherence
- Agency performance audits
- Social justice and equity
- Passenger experience
