Please plan ahead for additional travel time and anticipate crowds in stations, on platforms, in trains, and in parking facilities. On game days, parking facilities fill up quickly and earlier in the day. Plan accordingly to ensure you can secure parking.
The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will bring six matches to Lumen Field between June 15 and June 25, marking the first time the U.S. hosts the tournament. With up to 150,000 visitors expected over ten days, Sound Transit anticipates a surge in ridership, particularly on the 1 Line, where regular commuters should prepare for crowded trains. To accommodate demand, weekday Sounder schedules will see adjustments, along with additional trips on select Sound Transit Express routes to enhance service.

Due to this international tournament, riders will need to plan for extra time as we manage services to support ridership.

To view event service, please visit the link below and click on the individual event dates under Club World Cup Event Service section.

Please note that the Sounder schedule is being readjusted, this includes canceling some trips to reallocate train resources to provide event service.

In a perfect world, we would be without problems. Unfortunately, routine rail inspection identified a section of rail in the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel that was in need of repair.

The repair is necessary at this time to replace a section of rail near Westlake Station.

During this time trains are operating approximately every 15 minutes between Lynnwood City Center and Capitol Hill and from SODO to Angle Lake stations.

Passengers must transfer at Capitol Hill and SODO stations to continue to downtown Seattle stations, where 1 Line Shuttle buses will run approximately every 30-60 minutes.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Passengers should plan for significant increases in travel time and are strongly encouraged to seek alternate service options. King County has additional options for navigating between Downtown and Capitol Hill this weekend, in addition to the 1 Line shuttle. See below for alternate transportation options.

-First Hill Streetcar: Connects International District Station to Capitol Hill Station through the First Hill Neighborhood

-Route 49: Connects International District Station, Westlake Station, Capitol Hill Station, and University District Station. Arrives every 20 minutes during peak hours.

-Routes 101, 102, 150, & 594: Serving all of the Downtown Seattle Stations from SODO Station to Westlake Station

-Routes 21, 131, & 132: Serving all of the Downtown Seattle Stations from International District Station to Westlake Station

-Route 124: Connects Tukwila International Station to the Downtown Seattle Stations between Stadium Station and Westlake Station
