Sound Transit staff will attend the meeting of the Seattle Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of Washington meeting to share information about Sound Transit's accessibility programs, including accessible design, the Citizens' Accessibility Advisory Committee, and the Mobility Initiative Program.

Sound Transit staff will provide an update on design plans, now at 60%, for the Othello and Edmunds light rail stations, Edmunds street pedestrian corridor improvements, public art components, and urban design improvements along Martin Luther King, Jr. Way South.

9-12 noon I-405 Corridor Program-Executive Committee meeting

The I-405 Corridor Program is a WSDOT-lead, community-based partnership to create a package of integrated, multi-modal transportation improvements that will address future needs in the I-405 corridor. This is the regular meeting of the Executive Committee.

The Citizens' Accessibility Advisory Committee, which was established by Sound Transit to review plans and programs and advise the agency about accessibility issues, will hold its regular monthly meeting.

10 a.m.-3 p.m. Construction and Apprenticeship Job Fair

Sound Transit staff will host an information booth at the job fair, which will include representatives from the Seattle-King County Building and Construction Trades Council, South Seattle Community College, and the Office of Port JOBS.

6-8:00 p.m. Outreach session on Pierce County contracting opportunities

Sound Transit Boardmember Claudia Thomas and agency staff, in partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, will provide information for M/W/DBE and other small businesses on contracting opportunities with Sound Transit.

The Citizen Oversight Panel (COP) will hold its regular monthly meeting.

4:30-7:30 p.m. Open House and public hearing on proposed Kirkland HOV access improvements and transit enhancements

Sound Transit and WSDOT staff will host a public hearing / open house to discuss proposed transit enhancements and HOV improvements in the Kirkland area.
