Draft Environmental Impact Statement - FWLE

Sound Transit and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) have published the Federal Way Link Extension Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for public, agency and tribal review and comment. The Draft EIS evaluates light rail route and station alternatives and describes the project's potential effects on the environment, nearby properties, transportation, and other impacts.

Sound Transit and FTA will hold a 45-day public comment period from April 10, 2015 to May 26, 2015 and host two public meetings on the following days:

Wednesday, May 6, 2015
4:00 - 7:00 p.m. (5:30 p.m. public hearing)
Federal Way Community Center

Thursday, May 7, 2015
4:00 - 7:00 p.m. (5:30 p.m. public hearing)
Highline College, Student Union Building
2400 S 240th Street, Des Moines, WA 98198  

The meetings will include a public hearing component to accept formal public testimony. Comments may also be provided by email to: FWLE@soundtransit.org or by mail to: Federal Way Link Extension Draft EIS Comments, Sound Transit, 401 S Jackson Street, Seattle, WA 98104. The comment deadline is May 26, 2015.  

Copies of the Draft EIS:
Hard copies of the Draft EIS and conceptual design drawings (Appendix F) are available for $25.00 each and hardcopies of the technical reports are available for $15.00 each. The Executive Summary and a CD including the Draft EIS, appendices, and technical reports are available at no charge.
