November preview: Big shows, holiday kickoffs, and seasonal celebrations

The air’s a little crisper, the lights are starting to twinkle, and the season of cozy gatherings and festive fun is here. November in the Puget Sound brings a mix of culture, concerts, conventions, and the first signs of the holidays.

Oct. 27 – Nov. 2:

  One last chance to test your courage at Tacoma’s premier haunted attraction. 

Nov. 3 – 9: 

• Geek Girl Con – Convention Center, Seattle 
  A celebration of women and underrepresented groups in geek culture. 

• Riize – WAMU Theater, Seattle 
  The K-pop group brings high-energy choreography and hits to the stage. 

• J.I.D – WAMU Theatre, Seattle 
  The acclaimed rapper showcases his sharp lyricism and stage presence. 

• Seattle Sounders vs. Minnesota (MLS Cup Playoffs) – Lumen Field, Seattle 
  Cheer on the Sounders as they battle for the MLS Cup.  

• Freddie Gibbs – Showbox SoDo, Seattle 
  The Grammy-nominated rapper performs hits from his acclaimed catalog. 

• Holo Holo Music Festival – Tacoma Dome 
  Island vibes and reggae rhythms fill the Tacoma Dome for a weekend celebration.

• Doechii – WAMU Theater, Seattle

• Quilt, Craft & Sewing Festival – Washington State Fairgrounds, Puyallup

• Grit City Comic Show – Convention Center, Tacoma 
  A fan-favorite celebration of comics, cosplay, and collectibles. 

Nov. 17 – 23: 

• Tacky Turkey Sweater 5k – Green Lake, Seattle 
  Run, walk, or strut your stuff in your best turkey-themed gear. 

• Festival of Trees – Fairmount Olympic Hotel, Seattle 
  Beautifully decorated trees and holiday displays for a great cause. 

• Gingerbread Village – Sheraton Grand, Seattle 
  Marvel at elaborate gingerbread creations made by local architects and bakers. 

• Kevin Gates – Showbox SoDo, Seattle 
  The hip-hop artist brings his signature sound to the Showbox SoDo.

• Wintertide Tree Lighting Kickoff – Downtown Everett 
  A festive celebration marking the start of the holiday season. 

• Edmonds Tree Lighting Ceremony – Centennial Plaza, Edmonds 
  Gather in downtown Edmonds for lights, cocoa, and community cheer. 

• Snowflake Lane – Bellevue Square 
  Nightly parades, lights, and snow bring the magic of the holidays to life. 

• Thanksgiving Day Apple Cup 5k – Green Lake Park, Seattlev 
  A morning run before cheering on your favorite team.
