24/7 Connections: Night Bus expansion coming August 29 & 30
This past March, we kicked off our pilot Night Bus route between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and downtown Seattle.
Since then, we’ve welcomed hundreds of riders each week making trips that would’ve otherwise been by car (or possibly a very long walk, scoot, or cycle).
Now, looking ahead to this Fall, we’re excited to begin rolling out the overnight network we shared in our 2026 Service Plan.
Two new Night Bus routes will start running as part of the fall service change. Just like our pilot Route 570, these buses will run about every 30 minutes, starting shortly after the last trains.
You and your fellow riders shared with us that having different schedules on compared to weekends was a bit confusing – so we’ve simplified the schedule on these routes. Beginning with the Fall service change, you can look forward to Routes 597 and 547 having the same schedule, no matter what day of the week it is. The only exception is a few extra trips on Sunday because Link starts later in the morning and stops earlier in the evening.
Route 547 will start service after the last trains on Saturday, August 29. It will run between downtown Seattle, Bellevue, and Redmond.
After Route 570’s last trips on the evening of Saturday, August 29, Route 570 will be replaced by Route 597. Route 597 will start service after the last trains on Sunday, August 30. Route 597 will serve the same stations as Route 570, and be extended south to Federal Way, Tacoma, and Lakewood.
In addition to these Night Bus routes between Seattle, Lakewood, and Redmond, we’re working with our partners at Community Transit to extend overnight service to Everett. While this route won’t start this fall with the other two Night Bus routes, we are working to get it started as soon as we can. We appreciate your patience as we sort through these final details!

As always – we look forward to seeing you on board, day or night. Thank you for riding with us!
