Teen freedom fares on trains and buses
Sound Transit and King County Metro have teamed up this summer to offer discounted rides on our trains and buses to youth riding with an ORCA Youth card.
The fares will be effective June 17 through Labor Day. Anyone already riding with an ORCA Youth card will automatically be charged the reduced fare. So if you, or your kid, already have a ORCA Youth card, you’re good to go!
If you, or your kid, don’t already have an ORCA Youth card, here’s how you can get one.
Again, the $1 rides will be good on any Sound Transit service to anyone from any county using an ORCA Youth card. That’s any Sounder, ST Regional Express bus or Link light rail trip for $1 all summer long.
So whether you, or your kid, are riding to summer jobs, hanging out with friends or just need to get out of the house – you can do it for less this summer.
