Sound Transit Fall 2026 Service Change

Passengers will see service changes on ST Express Bus Service

Sound Transit regularly adjusts bus and rail service to improve performance, respond to ridership trends, and make the most of the agency’s resources. This month, Sound Transit is introducing several changes to our ST Express routes that will take effect from Aug. 29-31. 

ST Express buses will see the following changes, effective August 29-31: 

  • 513 – Add bi-directional service; adjust trip start times; change bus bay assignment at Seaway Transit Center; revise pathway to serve W Casino Rd & Airport Rd; add stops on W Casino Rd; convert Casino Rd & Evergreen way stop to a timepoint. 

  • 515 – Eliminate route. 

  • 522 – Shorten route to Shoreline South, increase headway to every 15 minutes. 

  • 535 – Increase weekend service to every 30 minutes during the day; add southbound trip in the early morning on weekends. 

  • 547 – New Night Bus overnight service between Redmond and Downtown Seattle. 

  • 550 – Eliminate route. 

  • 554 – Eliminate route. 

  • 556 – Truncate route, increase frequency, add stops in Issaquah. 

  • 570 – Eliminate route; service to be replaced by Pierce Transit-operated Lakewood – Seattle Route 597. 

  • 574 – Shorten route to Federal Way, increase headway to every 15 minutes, replace Lakewood Transit Center stop with new Lakewood Station stop, runtime changes. 

  • 580 – Eliminate route. 

  • 586 – Eliminate route. 

  • 597 – New Night Bus overnight service between Lakewood and Downtown Seattle. 

Minor service adjustments planned for ST Express Routes 510, 512, 560, 577, 578, 590, 592, 594, 595, 596.  

No changes planned for ST Express Routes 532, 542, 545, & 566. No changes planned for Link 1 Line, Link 2 Line, Sounder N Line, Sounder S Line, or T Line.
