ST Express reroutes 535 and 532 buses to support Stride construction
Work will install EV charging infrastructure at Lynnwood City Center and deliver new Stride inline station at Canyon Park
Construction of future Stride Bus Rapid Transit S2/S3 stations and charging infrastructure is impacting two ST Express Bus Routes, as crews work to deliver fast, battery-electric bus service between Bellevue and Lynnwood and between Seattle, Shoreline, and Bothell.
At Lynnwood City Center Station, bus bay D1 was closed for construction starting October 19. This closure was necessary to accommodate improvements to the bus shelter and charging infrastructure to support future double-decker, battery-electric Stride buses. During this work, which is scheduled to conclude in February, ST Express Route 535 will serve bay D2.
At Canyon Park Park and Ride, ST Express Routes 535 and 532 will bring be rerouted long-term starting Friday, Oct. 30, as part of WSDOT's I-405/Brickyard to SR 527 Improvement Project. This work, which will include a new inline Stride bus station with direct access ramps, requires removal of the existing Pedestrian Bridge over I-405. Bellevue-bound buses will serve Canyon Park Park & Ride Temp Bay B on the north side of I-5 until the new station and bridge open later this decade.
