The Lynnwood Link Extension project is breaking ground. Construction is on track to start in spring 2019, with work beginning in Seattle and Shoreline. This is a major milestone to bringing light rail to north Seattle, Shoreline, Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood by 2024!

Sound Transit is committed to being a good neighbor and keeping you informed throughout construction. The online and in-person open houses happening ahead of construction starting are meant to provide information on how Sound Transit builds light rail, what type of work you can expect to see in your community this year, who to contact with construction related questions and more.

Come meet the project team: join us at an open house

We hope you'll join us at one of the meetings near your neighborhood to learn more about upcoming construction and to meet the team that will keep you informed as the project is built. 

Our first meeting is in the Seattle/Shoreline neighborhood. As we get closer to construction starting in Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood, we'll schedule those meetings and let you know where to meet us.

  • Shoreline on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 6 – 8 p.m. at Shorewood High School
  • Mountlake Terrace in spring 2019, date to be determined.
