Don’t forget to comment: OMF South Draft EIS public comment period ends April 19

Publish Date

Thanks to everyone who attended our online public meetings and hearings on Wednesday, March 24, and Tuesday, March 30. We had around 120 attendees total, and so far we’ve received more than 160 comments on the OMF South Draft EIS. If you haven’t provided your input, you can still comment now through April 19.

If you missed the meetings, watch the recorded presentation to hear an overview of the project and key findings from the Draft EIS.

Ways to comment:

What do you think about the possible impacts, benefits and mitigation our analysis identified for any of the three sites (Midway Landfill, South 336th Street, South 344th Street)? Which site do you think should be advanced as the preferred alternative* and why?

*A “preferred alternative” is a statement of where the agency is leaning based on information available at the time. It’s not a final decision.

Help us understand your transit priorities

Which future Link light rail, Sounder train and ST Express bus projects are most important to you? While light rail projects now under construction remain on track, the COVID-19 recession and rising real estate and construction costs have created major affordability challenges for the future. The Sound Transit Board is considering changes to schedules and plans for transit expansions that are not yet under construction.
