Lynnwood Link Extension

Extended night closure at 1st Ave NE and Northgate Way Intersection

This work is extended until September 29th. Sound Transit will continue to close 1st Ave NE and Northgate Way intersection. The night time closure will be utilized to deliver girders and false deck work for the light rail construction. This closure will take place between the work hours of 11:00PM to 5:00AM.

What

  • Roads will be closed for crews to deliver girders for the light rail construction. 
  • Work consists of false deck work. 
  • Suggested detour route is located on 1st Avenue NE (see map).
  • Work consists of heavy equipment and residents can expect noise from construction. 
  • Full closures will occur during work hours and re-open during non-work hours.

When

  • The roads will be closed for the following days:
    • Monday, September 14th to Thursday, September 17th.
    • Tuesday, September 22nd to Thursday, September 24th.
    • Monday, September 28th to Tuesday, September 29th. 
  • Night construction work hours are from 11:00PM to 5:00AM.
  • Roads will remain open outside of work hours.

  • 1st Ave and Northgate Way intersection.
  • Access will be maintained for local residents.
