Sound Transit's excavation and tunneling contractor expects to begin long-term nighttime work at the Roosevelt Station construction site as soon as early February 2015.
The nighttime work will be performed under a Major Public Project Construction Variance (DPD Project number 3013221) that the City of Seattle approved for the Roosevelt Station construction site on November 26, 2012.
City codes typically limit work to daytime hours defined as 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekends and holidays. The MPPCV allows the contractor to work during nighttime hours between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. weekdays and 10 p.m. and 9 a.m. weekends and holidays.
