Removal of temporary bridge abutments

What

Sound Transit's contractor will remove temporary concrete structures to five feet below finish grade in front of U Manor Apartments to prepare for the re-installation of the street and sidewalk (see map). There will be additional noise while this work is going on. 

When

Beginning Monday, Jan. 14 through Friday, Feb. 8. Monday- Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Where

On the U District Station site in front of the U Manor Apartments along Northeast 43rd Street and Brooklyn Avenue Northeast (see map).

More

• Concrete barriers along Northeast 43rd Street in front of U Manor Apartments will be removed and replaced with a chain link fence.
• Work equipment used will be a Hydraulic Breaker (Impact Hammer)
• No high impact noise before 8 a.m. and after 5 p.m.
• The pedestrian pathway will remain open
