Lynnwood Link Extension

Rte. 512: Mountlake Terrace Transit Ctr, NB Freeway Station Overnight Closures Oct. 5 through Oct. 9

The northbound freeway station at Mountlake Terrace Transit Center will be closed Saturday, Oct. 5 in order to perform freeway restriping work on I-5, in preparation for Lynnwood Link light rail construction. The work will begin Saturday evening and will continue into Sunday morning. The work will pick up again Monday, Oct. 7. and continue through the morning of Oct. 10. The weekday overnight work will begin at 10 p.m. and end at 4 a.m. in the morning.

This closure will only impact Sound Transit Route 512 service. Bay 7 will be closed and buses will be rerouted to Bay 3 on 236th St. SW during the closure. The detour will add an estimated 7 minutes per trip. Expect delays and please allow extra time to reach your destination.

  • Saturday, Oct. 5 at 9 p.m. to Sunday, Oct. 6 at 8 a.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 7 at 10 p.m. to Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 4 a.m.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 10 p.m. to Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 4 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 10 p.m. to Thursday, Oct. 10 at 4 a.m.
